Jump Breaks
One of the things I've learned in these EDT classes is the importance of planning. Blogs, wikis, websites, don't happen overnight -- well, at least good ones don't. The infographic above, from Getit Comms, illustrates the steps that need to be taken in order to have social media work for business. And let's face it, education is a business. What I like about the illustration is its emphasis on teamwork and strategizing. Note also that Step 10 advocated the development of a social media policy. I think that ties into privacy issues which we discussed in class last week. Well, hope this was informative -- at the very least, you've learned a cool, new buzzword: Infographics. (And, if you are reading this, then you clicked "Read Now" in this blog entry; that's what inserting a "Jump Break" does -- it hides your post under the "Read Now" tag). Like it?
